Seamus finally decided to put in an appearance today, all 8 lb 7.5 ounces of him. It took 12.5 hours of labor, without a single drop of a drug I might add, for him to come out. Joanna did wonderfully and hung in there the whole time determined to deliver naturally, which she did. However there was some inhalation of meconium and Seamus had some problems breathing. After some chest X-rays he was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. He is being watched constantly and should hopefully be able to be released anywhere from 3 -10 days. We are both very optimistic as he seems to be very strong and still kicks like crazy, he just has some trouble breathing. Joanna and I will return home on Saturday and we hope Seamus won't be too far behind.

Aww! He's adorable! And what a big guy! I've told Dash he better start chowing down to catch up. Can't wait for you all to get him home and for all the playdates in years to come. Congrats!
Maggie, Brooks, Fin and Dash
Congrats you guys!
Our thoughts have been with you for the past couple days.
We'll hoist a Guiness (or three!) this weekend for ya! :-)
